Window sticker instructions – how to apply a Story of July window sticker

Story of July window decals are designed to shine outdoors. They're sturdy, weather-resistant, and easy to apply. By carefully following the steps below, you'll ensure a sleek and durable result.

Preparation

Make sure the window is completely clean and free of grease. A clear window ensures optimal adhesion and a beautiful end result.
Replacing an existing sticker? Remove it completely first so the new window sticker can adhere properly.

Wet the window

Fill a spray bottle with lukewarm water and add a small drop of dish soap. Use only a minimal amount; too much soap can make the sticker too slippery.
Spray the mixture evenly over the entire window.

Prepare the sticker

Place the window sticker with the back facing up on a smooth, clean surface, such as a table.
Peel back about five centimeters of the backing at the top and fold it over.

Stick together

Lightly wet your fingers so they don't stick to the sticker.
Preferably have someone help you carefully peel off the rest of the backing while you hold the sticker.
Also lightly mist the adhesive side of the sticker with the water mixture. This allows you to adjust the sticker slightly for the correct position later.

Apply the sticker

Place the sticker on the wet window. The water will make it easy to position and straighten the sticker.
Are you satisfied with the placement? Then use a squeegee or soft cloth to rub the water out from under the sticker. Always work from the center outward.

Let it dry

Gently pat the sticker dry with a soft, clean cloth.
The window sticker will adhere firmly automatically once the water has completely evaporated.
